Qatar's Third Medical Aid Party Arrives in Tehran

An official source from the Iranian Embassy in Qatar reported that a plane had arrived in Tehran on 24 April with medical assistance provided by the Qatari Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran. This was reported by the Iranian agency IRNA. The plane reportedly contained more than 15 tons of goods and equipment transferred to Iran by the Qatari government to combat the coronavirus outbreak. Over the past month and a half, the Government of Qatar has sent two more shipments of medical supplies to Iran. Earlier, on 21 March, a second batch arrived at Imam Khomeini International Airport in the capital of Iran to fight COVID-19. Based on cooperation between the governments of Iran and Qatar and measures taken by Iranian Energy Minister Reza Ardakanyan as head of Iran's joint economic cooperation commission between Iran and Qatar, Tehran received the country's second medical shipment weighing 8.5 tons. On 14 March, Qatar sent the first batch of medical supplies weighing 5.5 tons.
