Oil leak. Volkswagen recalls 1,099 cars in Russia

The official representative of Volkswagen in Russia Volksvagen Group Rus decided to withdraw 1099 passenger cars of Volkswagen Touareg due to the likely leakage of transmission oil, the official website of Rosstandart reports on May 20. The reason for the withdrawal of vehicles is the possibility of leakage of transmission oil caused by disadvantages of welded connection of the transmission oil tube, indicated in the published message. These are cars produced in 2019. The dates of production of the transmission oil tube will be checked at the dealer centers and, if necessary, replaced. The procedure will be free for the owner of the car. Authorized representatives of Volksvagen Group Rus will inform the owners of cars about the date of inspection of their cars in the nearest dealer center.

Zenit launch complex on Baikonur reconstructed for Soyuz-5

The reconstruction of the Zenit launch complex for the Soyuz-5 launch vehicles under development at the Baikonur cosmodrome will begin on October 16. The decision on the start date was made following negotiations between the Director General of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin and the Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan Baghdat Musin. The reconstruction of the launch pad will be carried out by specialists of the Center for the Operation of Ground Space Infrastructure (TsENKI) together with Kazakhstani builders.
