President of Kazakhstan instructed to help flood victims


President of Kazakhstan Kasim-Zhomart Tokayev instructed the government to provide assistance to residents of villages in the Turkistan region who were affected by the flood. The head of state wrote about it on May 5 on his Twitter page. None of the residents of the Turkistan region will be ignored, Tokayev wrote. Earlier, the head of Maktaaral district of Turkistan region Bahyt Asanov said that all victims will be paid compensation. According to the news agency, on May 1 in Syrdarya region of Uzbekistan there was a partial destruction of the dam of Sardobin reservoir. As a result of the accident, settlements in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan were flooded. In Maktaaral district of Turkistan region, the emergency regime was introduced.

Zenit launch complex on Baikonur reconstructed for Soyuz-5

The reconstruction of the Zenit launch complex for the Soyuz-5 launch vehicles under development at the Baikonur cosmodrome will begin on October 16. The decision on the start date was made following negotiations between the Director General of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin and the Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan Baghdat Musin.
