The UN congratulated Uzbekistan on Youth Day


The envoy of the UN Secretary General for Youth Affairs Jayatma Vikramanayake congratulated Uzbekistan on Youth Day, Dunyo news agency reported. She noted that the young population of Uzbekistan hides great potential for the future of the country. The UN Secretary General's envoy positively assessed the youth policy of the republic in the field of creating new jobs. Vikramanayake added that the government in Uzbekistan is building a dialogue with young people through UN platforms. In her opinion, reforms in the republic should apply to young people. Note, June 30 in Uzbekistan celebrates Youth Day. The holiday has been celebrated in the country since 2017. The head of state, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, congratulated the young population of the republic, which makes up two-thirds of the population, on June 29.
