China bypassed Ukraine in terms of imports of Russian meat
In the first half of 2020, Russia increased meat exports to $336 million (24 billion rubles), of which 54% were in China, the Rosselkhozbank Industry Expertise Center reported on July 28. In terms of meat imports from Russia, China bypassed Ukraine, whose share in Russian exports fell from 28 to 16%. In general, in six months, Russian enterprises increased the volume of supplies of meat and meat by-products abroad by 2.2 times. Poultry meat exports grew 2.5 times, to $193 million, pork 4 times, to $85 million, and beef 3 times, to $16 million. Recall that Ukraine became the largest consumer of Russian meat in 2017. Then the statistics reflected the supply of goods to the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics.
