In South Korea, again identified more than 60 infected with coronavirus

Over the past day, 61 cases of infection with a new type of coronavirus have been identified in South Korea, according to the South Korean Center for Disease Control and Prevention. It is noted that among the new cases 43 are associated with infection within the country, the remaining cases are imported. At the same time, the daily number of infected for the third day remains above 60. Such an increase in the number of infections was recorded in South Korea for the first time since April 2020. Thus, the total number of confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infections in the Republic of Korea reached 13,091. The number of patients who died from complications of COVID-19 remained at the same level of 283 people.

Zenit launch complex on Baikonur reconstructed for Soyuz-5

The reconstruction of the Zenit launch complex for the Soyuz-5 launch vehicles under development at the Baikonur cosmodrome will begin on October 16. This was reported by the press service of Roscosmos. The decision on the start date was made following negotiations between the Director General of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin and the Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan Baghdat Musin. The reconstruction of the launch pad will be carried out by specialists of the Center for the Operation of Ground Space Infrastructure (TsENKI) together with Kazakhstani builders.
