More than 60 people died in an attack in Sudan
At least 60 people died as a result of an attack by militants in the province of Western Darfur in Sudan, Reuters reports citing a UN report. More than 60 people were killed and about 60 were injured on July 25 as a result of an armed attack in the village of Mistri, the report said. According to the organization, during the attack, a group of 500 militants burned the homes of local residents, as well as the market. According to the news agency, a state of emergency was imposed in Western Darfur on 15 July in response to increased violence in the region. It was noted that in the province there were more frequent cases of clashes between demonstrators and security forces.
