Another black man died while detained by police in the United States

A black man was shot dead by police while being detained in the US state of Louisiana. This was reported on August 22 by ABC. The incident occurred in the city of Lafayette on August 21. After the police arrived at the scene, the man tried to escape, but the police used a stun gun. The man tried to enter another store, and then police officers opened fire to kill. Eyewitnesses reported that the police fired at least 10 shots at the man. Later, a video of the incident was published in social networks in the United States, which caused a strong public outcry. The American Union for the Protection of Civil Liberties called the incident another example of police violence against blacks. State police launched an investigation into the incident. Earlier, the news agency reported the dismissal and arrest of a police officer who beat a black woman during the detention.
