Ukraine announced a resuscitated dialogue with Moldova

Kiev and Chisinau are ready to reanimate the dialogue on all problematic issues, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said at a briefing today, August 4. The news agency notes that today Moldovan Foreign Minister Oleg Tsulya arrived in Ukraine on a working visit and talks between the heads of diplomatic departments preceded the briefing. I am very glad that we managed to agree to restore I would even say reanimate meetings and consultations on problematic issues that exist in our relations, Kuleba noted. He made it clear that the parties would try to agree on a package agreement, primarily in the economic sphere. All this is extremely important for the economies of our countries, and I am very glad that we managed to agree to resume, the Kiev minister said. In turn, Oleg Tsulya said that both sides agree that bilateral trade and economic relations require intensification. In this regard, I suggested organizing a regular meeting of the intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation in Chisinau, with the further promotion of direct dialogue at the level of the co-chairs of the commission, the Moldovan Foreign Minister said. The news agency notes that on July 22, Ukrainian-Moldovan political consultations were held in the format of a video conference at the level of Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Vasily Bodnar and State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova Dumitru Sokolan. During the consultations, according to official information, the issues of the visit of the Moldovan Foreign Minister to Kiev were discussed, as well as practical steps to implement joint projects in the trade, economic, energy, transport, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as regional security.
