Aggressive targets in the Caucasus: how Turkey attacked Armenia
On September 23, 1920, Turkey attacked Armenia without declaring war. The armed conflict that lasted two months ended in a heavy defeat of the Armenian troops. After the signing of the humiliating Peace of Alexandropol for the Armenians, the local Bolsheviks began an uprising. As a result, Armenia underwent rapid Sovietization with the support of the Red Army.
