China demanded that the United States stop unilateral sanctions against Iran

The authorities of the People's Republic of China called on the United States to stop unilateral sanctions against the Islamic Republic of Iran. The corresponding statement was made today, June 30, at a meeting of the UN Security Council by the Permanent Representative of China to the World Organization, Zhang Jun. The Permanent Representative of China recalled that the reason for the current crisis around Iran is the unilateral withdrawal of the United States from the Comprehensive Agreement on the Iranian Atom (JCPOA), and not some kind of Iranian action. We call on the United States to stop their illegal unilateral sanctions and return to the right path of compliance with the JCPOA in the framework of resolution 2231, the representative of China said. Jun emphasized that China opposes the US desire to extend the arms embargo on Iran. He stressed that all provisions of resolution 2231 should be implemented, including agreements on arms-related restrictive measures.
