Moscow denied reports of Kozak's withdrawal from negotiations on Donbass

Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Russia Dmitry Kozak did not inform colleagues in the Norman Four (Germany, Russia, France, Ukraine) about the desire to withdraw from the negotiation process in Donbass. This was announced on July 30 by a source close to the negotiations from the Russian side. He confirmed that the letter was indeed sent to other parties in the negotiations, but it spoke of the ineffectiveness of the negotiation process in the format of the work of political advisers. On the contrary, the Russian Federation has consistently proposed a number of concrete measures to increase the effectiveness of the negotiation process in order to implement the Minsk agreements and political settlement of the conflict in the East of Ukraine, Interfax quoted a source. Earlier, the news agency reported that information appeared in the Ukrainian press that Kozak allegedly proposed to abandon the Norman format of negotiations and announced that he would leave the group. In Kiev, the letter of the representative of Russia was interpreted as Moscow's unwillingness to participate in further negotiations with the head of the office of the President of Ukraine.
